Tamil Islamic Pro

This policy explains what information the Tamil Islamic Pro app uses, why, and who it is shared with.

Personal information

We do not ask for or collect your name, phone number or email address. No account or sign-in is needed.

Location

Your location is used for prayer times, the Qibla direction and nearby mosques. It is kept on your phone and not stored on our servers. To calculate prayer times, approximate coordinates are sent to the AlAdhan prayer-times service (api.aladhan.com). You may instead pick your city by hand without granting location access.

Notifications for prayer times, reminders and new content use Firebase Cloud Messaging, which creates a notification token. You can turn them off at any time in your phone's or the app's settings.

Advertising (Google AdMob)

To keep the app free we show ads through Google AdMob. Google may use your device's advertising ID to show relevant ads; you can reset or delete it in your phone's settings. See how Google uses data in ads.

Analytics and crash reports

To improve the app, Firebase Analytics collects anonymous usage statistics (such as which screens are used) and Firebase Crashlytics collects technical details when the app crashes (such as device model and Android version). They do not identify you.

Views and likes

Views and likes of videos, articles and talks are counted only as anonymous totals. What you liked is remembered on your phone only.

Games and leaderboard

To show the games leaderboard, the nickname you choose, a random ID created on your phone and your scores are stored on our server. You do not need to use your real name.

Service providers

Children

The app is for all ages; we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
